Coffee, with its distinctive characteristics, is the favorite drink of more than a billion people. No other drink can compete with coffee, whether for its delicious taste, aroma, or clear color. Over the past few years, attention has been moved to its special benefits in skin tightening and exfoliation as it contains antioxidants that resist skin problems such as cellulite, wrinkles, and sunspots.
The ground coffee is added to a blend of oils to eliminate skin dryness and make it moistened and soft. However, some believe that the scrubs available in markets are very expensive as the raw materials are found in every home. Therefore, we will share the easiest ways to make a scrub suitable for your skin type.
Coffee scrub helps clean the skin's surface, allowing it to breathe and consequently limiting the known problems of oily skin such as acne, redness, and blackheads. You can easily make it by blending an amount of ground coffee with half an amount of honey so that the mixture is moistened but not liquid.
Wet your skin with warm water, then scrub the mixture in round moves. Leave it for five minutes and wash it. You will notice the immediate effect as honey eliminates traces of acne and reduces redness.
Most women with dry skin suffer from white flakes due to dryness, leaving the skin with a pale appearance. So, you can make the coffee scrub by blending coffee grounds with coconut oil to make dough. Stretch such dough on wet skin in round moves on the dry areas. The coffee will exfoliate the area, and the coconut oil will moisten it deeply, leaving your skin soft and tender.
A mixture of coffee and olive oil enhances collagen production in the skin, increasing wrinkle resistance and leaving the skin young and tightened. In the same way, blend the coffee grounds with olive oil to make stretchable dough. Scrub your face and leave the mixture for some minutes to ensure the oil penetrates the skin. Then wash it with warm water.
You can use drip coffee or Turkish coffee residues as they contain small particles that physically exfoliate the skin. The various sizes of grinding will give you different results. Therefore, do not be afraid to try different types of mixtures till you achieve the desired result.
It is preferred to exfoliate the skin once per week according to the tips of the experts to avoid excessive exfoliation, which may have a negative effect on the production of the natural oils in the skin and lead to bigger problems than ever before.
