It has that good looks, and it comes from a trusted company that started in Germany more than 25 years ago. The ECM Elektronika is made out of high-end materials, and it shows. It's a classy, durable machine with chrome-plated marine-grade 58mm portafilters and grouphead. The housing and two filter baskets are made of stainless steel.

Features:
E61 Group Head - The ECM Elektronika Profi features the extremely well known and widely used E61 group head. Noble design and outstanding technology. Due to its unique construction, water spillings are avoided. The practical aspect: The extended brewing group lever is even handier.
Heat Exchanging Boiler - Similar to a commercial machine, the 2.1 liter boiler is mounted horizontally by a solid bracket and made of stainless steel for enhanced heat retention and corrosion resistance. The heat exchanger allows the Elektronika II to brew and steam at the same time and the boiler is heated by a 1400 watt element for a consistent brew temperature of approximately 93 c degrees.
Automatic Dosing - This wonderful machine from ECM can be programmed to extract shots for however short or long you prefer. Based on your settings, the extraction will shut off automatically.
Water Sensor - Level control cuts the power circuit if water is low, with a microprocessor that automatically controls the level of the water tank and boiler. A low water level warning will tell you when you need to refill. Please note: for proper operation it is a must to use water with mineral content.
Programmable Volumetric Brew Buttons - As an automatic machine, the Elektronika sports four separate brew buttons that can be programmed to brew a predetermined amount of espresso with one push. There is also a unique fifth button to activate the automated cleaning cycle.
Rotary Pump and Silent Operation - This is a feature that you truly need to hear to believe. Brewing is an incredibly quiet process, thanks to the rotary pump and the machine's specially designed sound absorbing body.

Durable Stainless Steel Construction - ECM refers to the Elektronika as the Rolls-Royce of semi-automatic machines, and for good reason. The housing is made entirely of stainless steel, and has been smoothed and curved on the edges, resulting in a sleek and streamlined machine. ECM wasn't content with simply welding the drip tray onto the machine, it's actually part of the frame for enhanced durability and build quality.
Balanced Portafilters - One of the first things you'll notice about the portafilters are how balanced they feel in your hand. The weighted end offsets the weight of the basket, keeping you from having to overcompensate with your wrist. On par with commercial grade machines, the Elektronika's portafilters are made of chrome-plated brass for increased temperature stability.
Large Drip Tray - Drip tray with even more capacity and more space - even for big cups. Creates more convenience for coffee preparation avoiding annoying spilling on the countertop.
Reservoir and Water Line - The ample water reservoir holds nearly 3 liters or 101 ounces of water. However, you can do away with refilling altogether by using the water line adapter. Located underneath the machine, the Elektronika has a manual valve, allowing you to easily switch between water sources.
