Mazzer Philos is the first single dose grinder from the legendary Italian brand, combining 75 years of commercial expertise with a compact design suitable for home use and small cafés.
Design & Build: Design inspired by sleek Mazzer ZM lines, with a 12.5 kg body providing stability without occupying significant space. Available in Anodized Silver and Anodized Black.
Materials include stainless steel, brass, and anodized aluminum - all highly recyclable. Internal surfaces are precision-polished for perfect part coupling with tight tolerances preventing vibration.
Zero Retention: Vertical burrs with thoughtful internal design avoid pockets that might retain coffee. Magnetic Dose Finisher collects any chute residue and stores in dedicated slot behind front plate. This makes switching between bean types seamless without flavor contamination.
Motor & Performance: 400W Asynchronous motor operates at 1400-1600 RPM. Integrated vibration-damping system with low frequencies makes it one of the quietest grinders in its class.
Burr System: Vertically-oriented 64mm flat burrs - an engineering decision leveraging gravity to minimize retention to ~0.1g only. Made from food-safe stainless steel, they come pre-seasoned and ready from day one.
Long Pre-Breaker prevents clogging and particle irregularity, with geometrically optimized grinding duct. Each grinder is factory-tested to ensure perfect burr parallelism.
Adjustment System
Convertible between two modes:
- Stepped: 6-micron increments covering all brewing methods from espresso to filter, with absolute repeatability
- Stepless: Infinite settings for precise dialing
Cleaning & Maintenance : Front plate removes magnetically, two wing nuts loosen by hand. Access to grinding chamber is easy and quick, reassembly requires no recalibration.
